PHILOSOPHY

I started ALTARED ARCHIVE as a way to express myself. I wanted to create something that evoked emotion, that made me feel heard, something that made me feel seen. One thing lead to another and my clothing brand was born.

The name ALTARED comes from a play on the word altered which is to be changed, transformed, reshaped by experience and altar, a place of sacrifice, devotion, reflection, and rebirth.

To me, transformation isn't about becoming someone else. It's about shedding the versions of yourself that no longer serve you and returning to who you truly are. Every collection, every garment, and every graphic is created with that belief in mind: that what we wear can become a reminder of who we've been, what we've survived, and who we're still becoming.
